September 24: Today in math we took a break from ratios to complete a problem solving task. We were trying to decide how many pennies it would take to make a line of them from Hunt to Montpelier. Students used what they know to solve the problem and did research about what they needed to know to solve the problem. We all know how many pennies in a foot now and also how far it is from Hunt to Montpelier.
Science: Today we started our egg drop design technology project. Students may want to bring a hard boiled egg to school to help them design their "container". We are in our blue print stage at the moment. Details to come regarding the day of the big drop. Parents are welcome to attend.
September 22: Today students are going out to the garden Soil Video. We also are finishing out observations of the horn worms we have in class. We are recording quantitative and qualitative data.
